Snow Queen Winter Management is a leader in the winter service industry, specializing in snow removal, ice management, and liability mitigation solutions. Combining technological innovation with unparalleled industry expertise and an environmentally friendly approach, Snow Queen delivers efficient, reliable, and proactive winter services.

Port Coquitlam, BC, December 20, 2025 – As Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and major thoroughfares across the Lower Mainland brace for the season’s first snowfall, Snow Queen Winter Management is fully prepared to meet the challenge. With snow accumulation forecasted over the Christmas period—and forecasters predicting possible flurries and up to 10 cm in some areas—we are gearing up for whatever winter brings.

The region is experiencing a pivotal shift in weather patterns. So far, this winter has brought atmospheric rivers, a pineapple express, and wetter conditions than usual for the GVRD’s rainforest climate. These factors have delayed the typical start of winter services, with only one freezing event recorded to date. It has been an unusually mild season—until now.

There is historically just an 8% chance of a white Christmas in the Lower Mainland (defined by forecasters as at least 2 cm of snow on the ground at 7:00 a.m.). Are we feeling lucky this year? With an incoming coastal weather system merging with a cold front, the region could see its first snowfall, all depending on that one key storm. This underscores the value of proactive winter services: partnering with a provider that is always prepared, regardless of the odds.

The infrastructure and expertise behind liability mitigation services are critical. “Our teams are fully prepared at every level of operations to deliver exceptional performance,” said Jordan Flatman, Director of Operations at Snow Queen Winter Management. “With leadership boasting over 40 years of combined direct experience, innovative liability mitigation technology, and industry-leading ground crews and management infrastructure, we are committed to keeping our clients’ properties safe, accessible, and liability-free.”

Snow Queen Winter Management takes a proactive approach to snow and ice control, using advanced forecasting, strategic crew deployment, and environmentally conscious de-icing solutions to set the industry standard.

“With the first snowfall of the season, liability risks rise significantly for property owners and businesses without a professional winter service partner,” said Isabelle Bailey, CEO of Snow Queen Winter Management. “Snow removal today is far more than shoveling sidewalks and applying salt. It’s about liability mitigation, legal preparedness, experienced foresight, and a deep understanding of weather-related risks. That’s our expertise—and what we do best.”

As Metro Vancouver faces its first notable snowfall of the year, Snow Queen Winter Management is ready with a fleet of specialized equipment, over 200 trained ground crew members, and an experienced leadership team to ensure client properties remain safe and navigable.

What sets Snow Queen apart? A lot. Our standard operating procedures (SOPs) treat every winter storm as a public safety threat—prioritizing protection against slippery conditions. We bring a high-level tactical infrastructure and operations approach that raises the bar for the industry.

This includes a robust corporate structure with three owners and an internal team of 17 across sales, HR, resource management, marketing, finance, operations, and administration—enabling seamless SOPs across all departments. With our CEO serving as a Supreme Court Expert Witness in slip-and-fall cases, we adopt a “liability-first” lens in every decision.

Snow Queen operates 55 tactical routes, making us one of BC’s largest snow removal providers by manpower. When snow hits, 55 teams stand ready, backed by over 40 pieces of equipment and more than 200 shovelers for clearing pavement, sidewalks, and laneways. For freezing events, we maintain 18 dedicated de-icing/anti-icing teams on 24/7 standby.

The cornerstone of our advantage is proprietary in-house software developed over the past six years. It enables comprehensive data collection, GPS tracking, device recognition, detailed aerial scoping and work directives, high-tech dispatch communication with tracking, alerts & AI oversight, and thorough weather/service logging. This is the most advanced system in the industry—empowering us to defend against slip-and-fall claims effectively and, often, secure outright dismissals through proven service delivery.
